Market Mood

This week, key economic data releases across the globe are under the spotlight. In the U.S., attention centers on Friday's PCE inflation report, the final one before the Federal Reserve's September 18 meeting, with expected growth of +0.2% in the core measure, personal income, and consumption. Europe focuses on preliminary August CPI figures from major economies like Germany, Spain, France, Italy, and the Eurozone, ahead of the ECB's September 12 meeting. Japan anticipates a busy week with data on the Tokyo CPI, labor market, industrial production, and consumer confidence, with forecasts showing a slight decline in core inflation and a rebound in industrial production. Nvidia is also in the news, set to report its fiscal second-quarter results on Wednesday, with analysts expecting revenue to more than double amid concerns over production delays and strong demand for AI chips.
